Slovenia is a country full of forests and beautiful nature. For Slovene people there isn’t a weekend without at least a walk in the forest. When I heard the project, that is already happened in many countries, is going to take place in Rogla, I was genuinely thrilled. Unfortunately, like many of us, I ran out of time on weekends and moved my plans to the next one. I finally took time and spoilt my soul by walking between high coniferous trees in Rogla.
Why is the treetop walk unforgettable experience?
The path is 1000 m long and full of fun activities. There are many educational stops, where you can learn about flora and fauna, that is only found in Pohorje. Our little ones can have fun on adrenaline stops with obstacles and balance tests. Of course, grown ups can try it too – I did and had a lot of fun. In the middle a 37 m high tower with a breathtaking view awaits. You can see true beauty of our small, chicken-shaped country. There are forests as far as the eyes can reach and mountains with snow caps in the background. Wonderful!
The ticket costs 10 euros for one person, for a child even less. There is also a family ticket.
The path is adapted for strollers and wheelchairs. Accompanying person is free of charge.
For those scared of heights, no worries. Even though, you are 20 m above the ground, a high fence from both sides will protect you. In time you will even forget you are “a little bit” above the ground.
